Artist's Statement
My art reflects my joy of learning, the challenge of using recycled materials, and my interest in cultures around the world. When I start a piece, I never know where it will take me. The thrill is in the process. Maybe a piece of rust or an old ledger will call to me. I love to stamp, scribble, tear, layer, cover up, add-to, experiment with new techniques, and all-around... make a mess. My motto is "sometimes it just happens". My work uses collagraphs, relief prints, and collage. Digital collage is my latest passion. All of my art pieces have a story. I enjoy sharing the process and the story.
