CS Lewis Festival

A new challenge. I am entering a collage in the C.S. Lewis Exhibit to go along with the festival held in Petoskey. I wanted something different. Nothing with elves, dwarves, or the wizard. So, what is left? My entry is stacks of dishes that are surrounded with the beginning of the poem: Chip the glasses, crack the plates...that's what Bilbo Baggins hates. I had a great time finding all of the dishes. I am trying to decide if the title should be -Adventure starts with dirty dishes...will anyone understand? The image is due Sept. 8. Keep my fingers crossed that it will be accepted. I'm on a roll.

Great Lakes Small Works

Sunday, August 29, 2010

Two pieces of artwork have been accepted in the Great Lakes "Small Works" show at the Riverside Gallery in Ypsilanti. Time Traveler's Companions and Loon in the City are my first works to be accepted in a juried show. The show runs from Sept. 2-25. I brought the artwork to the gallery today. Check out http://www.wildraisin.net/News-and-Events.html for a picture of Loon in the City and other artwork I have there.
