Three entries for the Black&White with a little Red show being held at the Gaylord Area Council for the Arts.  Show runs from February 6- March 2.  Reception is Saturday, February 9, 5-7 pm.  I like this type of challenge since I have not used these color combinations.  Luckily,  I received some beautiful black paper for Christmas and I was just itching for a chance to use it.  Enjoy!

Well, there it is.  Perhaps you can understand what this is all about by reading my introduction.  (Click on the picture to make it larger so you can read the words).  I send it off to the Brooklyn Art Library tomorrow.  I will tell you when it is published to their web.  If you get to New York City, stop by and check out the many sketchbooks there, including mine.  Project completed with a few days to spare. Sketchbook 2013

Sunday, January 6, 2013

And so it begins.  My second Sketchbook.  "Book of 2 ont Esta"
Inside cover.
Stamping, stenciling, a faux stamp, and images from magazines.  That's how the artwork was developed for this sketchbook.
Two of my favorite things...washi tape and corrugated cardboard.
I had so much fun with this page.
The good red road refers to Native culture's  walking a good path.
I've been watching the cooking channels.

This Sketchbook 2013 project is due Jan. 14.  I have been so busy with other matters, that I am finally getting to it.  The artwork is taking second place since my words and definitions are the hardest to do.  This book is certainly different from the first one I did.  More to come as I finish up.  Click on the pictures to enlarge and read the words and their definitions.  Enjoy!
